This Privacy Policy describes how Fluenxy ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your data when you use our browser extension and our website getfluenxy.com.

1. Data we collect

1.1 Account

Email address and public name when you sign in via Google (through Supabase Auth).
Public profile picture, if provided to Google.

1.2 Learning activity

Exercise progress, studied words, and scores.
Language preferences and extension settings.

1.3 Audio (only if you use the voice feature)

Short microphone recordings (a few seconds) sent in real time to Groq Whisper for transcription. Audio is not stored on our servers.

1.4 Payment

Processed entirely by Stripe. We never receive or store your card details. We only receive a Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

2. How we use the data

Authenticate your session and personalize your learning experience.
Sync your progress across devices.
Process payments and manage subscriptions.
Diagnose errors (logs with pseudonymized user IDs).

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Browser permissions

The extension requests the following permissions — and why:

activeTab and <all_urls>: to inject exercises on the pages you visit (YouTube, reading sites).
storage: store your progress and settings locally.
scripting: required to render exercises on any page.
identity: link Google sign-in to your profile.
tabs: open payment and welcome pages in new tabs.

4. Third parties

We share strictly necessary data with:

Supabase — account and progress storage (EU servers).
Stripe — payment processing.
Groq — real-time audio transcription (if you use voice).
Google — OAuth authentication.

5. Where data is stored

Account and progress data are stored on Supabase servers located in the European Union. Operational logs are kept on our own server (EU) for up to 30 days.

6. Your rights (GDPR/LGPD)

Request access to a copy of your data.
Request correction of incorrect data.
Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
Request portability of your data in JSON format.
Withdraw consent at any time.

For any of these requests, email hello@getfluenxy.com. We respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies and local storage

Our website uses only essential session cookies for login. The extension uses chrome.storage.local to store preferences — this data never leaves your device unless you sign in.

8. Children

The service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, contact us immediately.

9. Changes to this policy

We update this policy as needed. The date at the top indicates the current version. Material changes will be communicated by email to active users.
